MY CAMPUS EXPERIENCE
Third of September 2018.Yes this was the best day of my life.Being admitted to the famous Technical university of Mombasa.I could now walk on the streets head high,I was now a big girl,a university girl. Before i continue, probably i should disclose this information about me.I am a girl,an Aquarius and currently a student at Technical university of Mombasa. My closest friends say i am a drama queen,i am really not sure about that.I also love fun and turning up which means it is very easy to spot me at an event. And yes this is my favourite blog so far, because whats more compelling and interesting than writing about your own journey?
At the onset life was beautiful and adventurous. We didn't have classes for like three weeks or so.Since the school is situated at the beautiful Mombasa town, what would you expect?a lot of adventures ,their are so many beautiful places not to mention the beaches too. With the notion that,"life is too short enjoy yourself while you are young,"and the fact that i had enough cash to cover me up for like a whole month,i toured places, attended events and more so, made memories and new friends too.
Nevertheless, their were so many things i needed to learn and also adapt to the new lifestyle too.You understand the transition from the comforts of living at home to now living your own life.Like you have to make your own decisions on what to eat, worrying about bills example electricity and rent, getting to meet new friends and familiarizing yourself with the school's environment.
As time went by,what looked like promises of hope became sources of discouragements. The overwhelming expectations i had turned out to be different.Life started becoming serious, piles of work to do from assignments to reading for the continuous assessment tests and the main exams. The notion about attending classes when you feel like is a scam, you would be losing a lot by skipping classes.I would not even dream of failing .The Supplementaries and retakes were real.
Life became abit hard, mostly on trying to balance my finances. One day i have money and the next day i don't.Also it is kind of challenging balancing between school life and social life. You know the night parties and movies, just to mention a few things that might hinder you from having enough time for your studies. But oh well if tomorrow is not the due date, today is not the do date.
And yes campus life is all fun and beautiful,if you know how to do it great.
Hope you enjoyed reading, don't forget to comment, criticize and share my work too.
